Coast Guard Gets
Stranded Cubans To Nassau Bahamas.

A group of 8 cuban stranded trying to reach the United States where found on a remote Island of the Bahamian chain, The Cubans Were rescued by a US coast guard ship on between Friday and Saturday. The imigrants where brought on the ship the Cosat Guard Cutter then transported them to Nassau Bahamas. They where then were turned over to the Bahamian Immigrations authorities on Sunday. Only Seven of the eight where turned over. The eight person was flown to Florida for treatment said the Coast Guard. The immigrants told the US Coast guard officials that they were a part of 14 cubans that fled Cuba on January 14, 2006. They also said that six of the cubans perished at sea before they landed on Elbow Cay in the Bahamas. No word on what the Bahamian authorities will do with the cubans. |
